Centennial boys basketball standout Jared McCain has been selected California's Gatorade Player of the Year. McCain, a 6-foot-3 junior shooting guard.

CIF Coastal Division Boys Wrestling Champions

Centennial’s boys wrestling team captured the Coastal Division team championship with 277 points, finishing ahead of Big VIII League rival Roosevelt (248 points). Centennial had four individual champions: Aldo Quintero (138), Javier Montes (152), Giovanni Martinez (195) and Isaac Lopez (285).
